This year's first snowfall !

So it has finally arrived. The snow. Oh how I love the snow.

I could sit in my pjs all day, while it snows outside and be the happiest person.
There's something about the white stuff that makes me love winter so much.
When we woke that morning, it was really coming down - beautiful big flakes.
I sat Nathan in front of the sliding glass doors and just clicked away. He was so adorable watching the snow and peering outside, wondering what on earth was going on outside.
It was such a beautiful thing to see, the wonderment in his eyes. I love being a mother.

A visit to the tree farm !

I woke up Sunday morning and had that warm and fuzzy feeling of...well... CHRISTMAS !
It's that time of year again ! Christmas tree hunting !

Nothing says Christmas, like a real pine tree !

Every year, since moving to London, my husband and I - along with his family, venture to Ilderton to hand pick a beautiful Christmas tree ! This was the first year with no snow and it wasn't the same, but still great to get out and keep the tradition alive.
I, of course, brought my camera and snapped some shots that I couldn't wait to get home to edit and finalize, after many hours spent decorating the tree with my husband and our little man !
This was my munchkin's first visit to the tree farm, all bundled up, but was passed out in a deep sleep.
Next year, he'll be 1.5 yrs and will be able to experience the tradition to the max ! Wagon rides, hot chocolate and all !
We're building a collection of trunks from each tree we cut down.
We have 2008's stump and will add this year's to the collection. Another reason why I could never buy an artificial tree again. ( not to mention they are worse for the environment. )

Here are some of the shots from the day. I love real Christmas trees.

That's the tip of our tree - hard to believe that it's home is now our living room.

The little things that help make the holidays.

Since getting my new Nikkor 60mm 2.8 micro lens, I've been walking around the house, taking pictures ( reallllly close up ) of just about anything. I'm loving my new lens !

I LOVE Christmas ball ornaments !

My new macro shots !

Bokeh !! - My new love. Ornaments from our new tree from the tree farm.

A tree in a tree ! This ornament is part of a collection that is almost as old as I am.
